Box Score 4 BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's tennis team picked up five match wins in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Atlantic Regional Championships over the weekend.

Freshman
Jack Seaborn (Cambridge, England/The Leys School) had a good showing in singles play with a 2-1 record. Seaborn opened the tournament with a convincing 6-2, 6-2 victory over Kutztown's Nikita Safonov before taking down West Virginia Wesleyan's Stefans Audrins in a lengthy 6-4, 0-6, 10-8 match in the round of 32. The freshman's singles run came to an end in the round of 16, dropping a 4-6, 3-6 bout to the No. 1 seed Forkane Lebdi.

Seaborn also competed in doubles action alongside
Sergio Dilan (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Cedin). The pair were in the midst of a 6-6 match before being forced to retire due to injury.

Alejandro Higuera (Ciudad Obregon, Mexico/Colegio Weston) also made a run into the round of 16. His tournament started with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Salem's Simon Braeunig before defeating Ryan Abell of Charleston, 6-4, 6-3. In the third round, Higuera fell to the eventually tournament champion, Leon Grassnickel of Edinboro.

Iu Casamitjana (Igualada, Spain/Escola Pia Igualada) won his opening match against West Liberty's Pablo Zubieta, 7-5, 6-2, however the senior withdrew in the second round due to injury.
Denis Dementev (Saint-Petersburg, Russia) fell in the opening round in close battle with Charleston's Nils Pottbecker, 7-4 (7-5), 4-6, 6-10. Casamitjana and Dementev partnered together in doubles action as well, falling 4-8 to Batsomi Marobela and Abell from Charleston.

Bloomsburg is back in action again on Saturday, October 11 as it hosts the Dynamic Duo tournament at the Burt Reese Tennis Center.
