Clancy Named Freshman of the Year; Football Earns Three All-PSAC East Honors

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Three members of the Bloomsburg football program earned postseason recognition as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) announced its 2025 All-PSAC East football teams. Senior wide receiver Jerry Griffen-Batchler (Norristown, Pa./Germantown Academy) was named First Team All-PSAC East for the second-straight year and freshman Declan Clancy (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Township) was named the PSAC East Freshman of the Year while picking up second team honors as a running back. Quarterback KJ Riley (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) was named to the All-PSAC East Second Team, for his first conference honor.

Clancy emerged as one of the premier young running backs in the conference, leading the Huskies with 633 rushing yards on 145 carries, averaging 4.4 yards per touch with four rushing touchdowns. He posted a season-high 113 yards against Lock Haven and finished with 688 all-purpose yards. His performance earned him a spot on the All-PSAC Second Team as well as the league's top freshman honor. Clancy finished the regular season ranked ninth in the conference in total rushing yards and rushing yards per game (57.5) and fourth in the PSAC East.

Griffen-Batchler earned First Team distinction for the second consecutive season after leading the Huskies with 854 receiving yards on 53 catches across 10 games. He averaged 85.4 receiving yards per contest and tied for the team lead with nine receiving touchdowns. Griffen-Batchler produced 1,144 all-purpose yards on the season, including 232 kickoff return yards and 58 punt return yards. Griffen-Batchler led all of the PSAC and was 16th in the NCAA with 85.4 receiving yards per game.

Griffen-Batchler finished his career with 2,487 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns. Griffen-Batchler averaged 15.1 yards per catch in his four years as a Husky. Griffen-Batcher had 164 catches as a Husky, which is fifth all-time at Bloomsburg.

Riley capped a prolific senior campaign by throwing for 2,568 yards and 26 touchdowns while completing nearly 59 percent of his passes. His total passing yards this season was the third-most in a single season at Bloomsburg and his 26 touchdown passes tied the single-season record. He posted seven rushing touchdowns and accounted for 3,029 yards of total offense, averaging over 275 yards per game. Riley recorded a season-high 334 passing yards against Kutztown and tossed four touchdown passes in two different games. He finished third in the conference in passing yards and second in passing touchdowns.

The Danville native was responsible for 207 total points this season, the eighth-highest total in NCAA DII and was 11th in the country in passing touchdowns.

Riley has cemented his place in the Bloomsburg football record book following a storied four-year career. Riley finished his time at Bloomsburg with 6,891 career passing yards, fifth all-time and 56 career passing touchdowns, fourth all-time. His career completion rate of 58.3% is the best career percentage ever for a Huskies' quarterback. In four years, Riley went 492-844-28 with 56 touchdowns. He finished his career as a 1,000-yard career rusher with 1,030 yards gained on the ground. Riley has accounted for 70 touchdowns, passing and rushing, in his career at Bloomsburg. He also converted 18 point after kicks, two field goals, and a pair of two-point conversions.

The trio's performance helped power an offense that averaged 358.5 total yards and scored 35 touchdowns across the 11-game season.
