KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Bloomsburg men's soccer holds its position as the No. 22 team in the in the latest United Soccer Coaches Division II National Poll. The Huskies streak extends to five consecutive weeks inside the top 25, increasing the longest run under head coach Mark Bassett.
Bloomsburg is coming off a 1-1 week in PSAC action. The Huskies began the week with a 2-1 win at home against East Stroudsburg. Connor Fiadino (Burlington, N.J./Burlington Township) opened the scoring for the Huskies, getting the finish off successive passes from Owen Hollobaugh (State College, Pa./State College) and Braden Alicea (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Lower Moreland). After the Warriors tied it following the halftime break, Hollobaugh found the back of the net himself with help from Quaid Molino (Charleston, S.C./Wando (S.C.)) and Sam Blumberger (Colchester, Conn./Bacon Academy) for the game-winner.
Bloomsburg fell in its second conference match of the week with a 2-0 defeat to Millersville. A late-minute goal in the first half and a late insurance score from the Marauders secured the win for the home side. In their first match of the week, the Huskies earned a 2-0 win. Hollobaugh netted the first goal of the night, teaming up again with Alicea. Logan Savage (Bensalem, Pa./Archbishop Wood) added the additional support later with assistance from Fiadino.
Bloomsburg is back home for its regular-season finale and final conference game of the season on Thursday, November 6, at 6:00 p.m. against Shepherd
