YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Bloomsburg men's track & field team collected two new PSAC qualifying times at an impressive showing at the YSU Last Chance meet.
Sophomore
Justin Herrmann (/) qualified for the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.75 and dropped .15 off of his time to finish sixth overall with a PSAC-qualifying time of 8.60.
Peter Tepper (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) got his PSAC qualifying time in the 800-meters as he took third overall with a time of 1:55.68. Freshman
Brackton Parrish (Charlotte, N.C./William Amos Hough) had his season-best time of 1:58.12 to take third overall.
Freshman
Tyler Leitzel (/) (7.19) and
Patrick Moore (Blakeslee, Pa./Commonwealth Charter Academy) (7.21) qualified for the finals of the 60-meter dash and Leitzel finished seventh overall with a PR of 7.12 while Moore took eighth overall with a PR of 7.17. Leitzel also took eighth overall with a PR of 22.57 in the 200-meter dash.
Finnegan Purtle (/) finished eighth in the 400-meter dash with a season-best time of 52.05.
Evan Babarsky (Jessup, Pa./Valley View) took 10
th overall in the 1-mile run with a personal-best time of 4:54.96.
Peyton Riley (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) led the Huskies in the 3000-meter run as he took seventh overall with a time of 8:59.98.
Caden Dufrene (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run High School) finished ninth with a time of 9:18.62.
In the field events,
Daniel Ajuz (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) led a pack of Huskies in the triple jump as he took second overall with a PR jump of 13.47 meters (44' 2.5").
Trevor Johnson (Kintnersville, Pa./Palisades, Pa.) finished third at 13.30 meters (43' 7.75") and
Landon Kester () took eighth at 12.33 meters (40' 5.5").
Paul Munoz (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton Area) posted a personal-best jump of 12.13 meters (39' 9.75") to finish ninth overall.
The Huskies placed two in the top-10 in the high jump as
Shaheem Hill (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) cleared 1.82 meters (5' 11.5") to take sixth and
Michael Stebila (/) finished seventh with a height of 1.77 meters (5' 9.75").
Trevor Johnson (Kintnersville, Pa./Palisades, Pa.) took third overall in the long jump with a leap of 6.62 meters (21' 8.75") while
Lucas Antal (/) took sixth at 6.28 meters (20' 7.25").
The 4x400-meter relay team of Chris Brittingham, J Hill, Purtle, and Tepper finished second with a time of 3:27.57 and the team of Kester, Burdett, Mann, and Deivert finished sixth at 3:39.95.
The Huskies get back to action next Friday at the Bucknell Tune-Up before the PSAC Championships begin on March 1.
