YORK, Pa. – After a strong start to the 2025 PSAC Swimming Championships, the Bloomsburg women's swimming team is sending six to the finals, Monday night.
Three Huskies will take part in the 'B' Finals of the 200 IM, including
Vanesa Valli (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk),
Grace McBlain (Aldan, Pa./Monsignor Bonner), and
Taleah Ruben (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville). Valli has the third fastest time going into the 'B' finals and finished 11
th overall in the prelims with a career-best time of 2:10.65. Valli dropped 2.18 off of her seed time Monday morning. McBlain enters the 200-IM B Finals 12
th overall and fourth in the race with a time of 2:10.83 and Ruben posted a career-best time of 2:11.33 to finish 14
th overall and sixth seed in the B Finals. She dropped 3.34 off her seed time.
Rachel Cunningham (Hanover, Pa./South Western) highlights a trio of Huskies in the 'A' Finals of the 50-yard freestyle. The junior .78 off her seed time to take second overall in the prelims with a career-best time of 23.39. Senior and defending 50-yard free champion,
Rylee Wenzel (West Lawn, Pa./Wilson) is third in the 'A' Finals with a time of 23.56 and freshman
Morgan Holmes (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) took eighth in the prelims with a time of 23.76.
Madison Osanitsch (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg) is currently third in the 1,000-yard free with a time of 10:45.75, 7.99 off her seed time, and
Ella Dittmar (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) is 10
th with a time of 11:04.59, 12.41 faster than her seed time. The final places of the 1,000 free will be determined by the last heat of the timed finals tonight.
The finals begin tonight at 6:00 p.m. with the final heat of the 1,000-yard freestyle timed trials.
