YORK, Pa. – The Bloomsburg women's swimming team won the 200 yard freestyle relay Tuesday evening and are currently in second overall at the 2025 PSAC Swimming Championships with 530 team points.
 
The Huskies got off to a blazing start in the evening session as the team of Morgan Holmes (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway), Sidney Beers (DeBois, Pa./DuBois Area), Rachel Cunningham (Hanover, Pa./South Western), and Rylee Wenzel (West Lawn, Pa./Wilson) won the 200-yard freestyle relay with a school record time of 1:33.73. Holmes got the team off on the right foot with a 23.53 split in the first 50-yard while Beers kept pace with a 24.38 in the next 50. Cunningham posted a strong 23.29 to move the Huskies into second with 50 yards to go in the race. Wenzel had an incredible 22.53 in the final 50 yards to overtake the team from Clarion and win by .69. Wenzel split was the fastest of the evening.
 
Wenzel got right back in the pool and took second overall with an NCAA 'B' cut in the 100-yard fly as she touched the wall at 55.62. Vanesa Valli (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) won the 'B' Final with a time of 57.47 and Gabi Walsh (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) won the 'C' Final with a time of 58.43 and Ashley Martin (Middletown, N.Y./Pine Bush) took third in the C Final with a time of 58.59. All four times were bests for the Huskies.
 
Grace McBlain (Aldan, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) took third in the 'A' Finals of the 400-IM with a time of 4:36.06 and Taleah Ruben (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville) finished fourth with a lifetime-best time of 4:36.92. Jordyn Kinnee (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) took fifth in the B Finals and 13^th overall with a collegiate-best time of 4:42.01. Sadie Ludwick (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cedar Cliff) finished third in the C Finals with a lifetime-best time of 4:46.19 and Catie Strayer (York, Pa./Central York) took fifth with a time of 4:47.98. Lizzy Johnson posted a lifetime-best time of 4:50.23 to take seventh in the C Finals.
 
Rachel Cunningham (Hanover, Pa./South Western) continued her impressive swim from the morning's session as she took fifth overall in the A Finals of the 200-free with a career-best time of 1:53.39. Madison Osanitsch (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg) finished eighth in the A Finals with a time of 1:54.23.
 
Holmes won the 'B' Finals with a college-best time of 1:53.98.
 
The 400-medley relay team of Walsh, Valli, Wenzel, and Osanitsch came in third overall with a season-best time of 3:52.36.
 
The Huskies get back in the pool Wednesday morning for Day Three of the PSAC Championships. The prelims of the 500 free, 100 back, 100 breaststroke, and the 200 butterfly get underway at 10:00 a.m. from the York YMCA Graham Aquatics Center.
