Box Score AMHERST, N.Y. – The Bloomsburg men's tennis team got back in the win column Friday night with a late-night 5-2 win over Daemen University.

The Huskies swept through the doubles matches to earn the first point of the evening.
Fernando Barros (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Hoosac School) and
Jaime Soria (Pamplona, Spain/Liceo Monjardin) opened the day with a 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles while
Denis Dementev (Saint-Petersburg, Russia/) and
Iu Casamitjana (Igualada, Spain/Escola Pia Igualada) clinched the point with a 6-3 win at No. 2.
Sergio Dilan (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Cedin) and
Vishesh Patel (Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India/Asia English School) won 6-4 at No. 1 doubles to complete the sweep.

Barros earned a walk-over win at No. 6 to give Bloomsburg a 2-0 match lead before Soria won his second match of the day, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 singles to push the advantage to 3-0 in favor of Bloomsburg. Daeman got on the board with a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles to avoid match point.

Alejandro Higuera () won the match for Bloomsburg with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles. Daeman won at No. 1 singles to cut the lead to 4-2 but
Albert Martin (Barcelona/Instituto Menendez y Pelayo) finished out the day with a 6-3, 7-5 win at No. 3 singles for the 5-2 Bloomsburg win.

The Huskies travel to Edinboro to face off in a non-conference match in Edinboro, Pa. at 1:00 p.m. today, March 29.
