SELINSGROVE, Pa, - The Bloomsburg women's outdoor track & field team kicked off the 2025 outdoor season with a bang as the Huskies claimed 22 top-10 finishes, six PSAC Championship qualifying marks, two event wins and one school record, Saturday at the Jim Taylor Invite, hosted by Susquehanna University.

On the track, Abigail Parise took second in the 100-meter hurdles with a PSAC qualifying mark and school record time of 14.65. Madeline Ikeler came in third with a PSAC time of 14.98 and Lindsey Peleaz finished 10
th at 16.68.

Parise now holds both an indoor and outdoor hurdles school record in her first season at Bloomsburg. Parise's indoor school record in the 60-meter hurdles is 9.13, set at the Bucknell Tune Up in February.

Parise and Ikeler impressed in the 400-meter hurdles as well as Parise came in fourth with a time of 1:09.46 and Ikeler took fifth at 1:11.21.

Amanda Kelly (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) won the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:19.42 while
Melina Turner (Wharton, N.J./Morris Hills) took fifth overall at 19:47.84.

Aria Messner took 10
th overall in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.88. She also took fifth overall in the high jump as she cleared 1.48 meters (4' 10.25").
Jewel Little (East Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg Area) took eighth in the high jump at 1.48 meters (4' 10.25)

Josephine Reed led a pack of Huskies in the 1,500-meter run as she took sixth overall with a time of 5:00.25. Sydney Weaver came in seventh at 5:01.22 and
Alyssa Cunningham (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area) finished eighth overall with a time of 5:02.72.

In the field events,
Kelly Leszcynski (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) started the spring off right where she left off two years ago with a NCAA provisional mark and PSAC qualifying throw of 46.27 meters (151' 10") to win the event.
Abbey Hengst (/) hit her PSAC qualifying mark as well as she took second overall with a throw of 39.56 meters (129' 9"). Leszcynski is currently ranked 11
th in NCAA DII in the javelin.

Devin Hubler (Minersville, Pa./Minersville Area) had a pair of top-10 finishes as she took fourth in the long jump with a PSAC qualifying mark of 5.59 meters (18' 4.25") and second in the triple jump, also a PSAC qualifying mark of 11.09 meters (36' 4.75").

Parise took seventh in the long jump at 5.44 meters and Messner finished eighth at 5.33 meters (17' 6").

Mikaela Sullivan took seventh in the shot put with a throw of 10.79 meters (35' 5") and Julia Beccari finished fifth in the discus with a throw of 34.91 meters (114' 6").

Briannan Eckard (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) finished fifth overall in the hammer with a throw of 42.98 meters (141' 0").

The Huskies return to action next Saturday when they head to Millersville, Pa. for the Millersville Metrics on April 5.
