LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Sophomore
Abby Parise (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) kicked off the outdoor season with a record-setting performance as she broke both the 400-meter and 100-meter hurdle records at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invite. For her efforts, Parise was named the PSAC Women's Track & Field Co-Track Athlete of the Week.
Parise turned in a record-setting performance at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational, delivering standout results across multiple events against a deep Division I and II field.
By the Numbers:
- 400m Hurdles: 4th place – 1:03.51 (5 team points) – Bloomsburg school record; #1 in PSAC
- 100m Hurdles (Prelims): School-record time 14.57 (new Bloomsburg program record); #1 in PSAC 14.73 finals (7th)
- Long Jump: 13th place – 5.51m; #3 in PSAC
Parise's performance was highlighted by breaking two program records in the same meet, establishing new standards in both the short and long hurdle events. Her fourth-place finish in the 400m hurdles came against a highly competitive field and resulted in a scoring performance for the Huskies.
The Huskies get back to action on Friday at the Jim Taylor Invite hosted by Susquehanna University.Â
