WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's golf team shot a 38-over par 322 in the opening round of the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational at Penn Oaks Golf Club on Monday afternoon. The Huskies currently sit in 11th.
 
Jarred Berish (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) posted a five-over 76 in the opening round and sits tied for 18th place. Berish found his grove on the back nine, carding birdies on the 12th, 14th and 15th holes while posting five pars en route to a two-under 34 on the back.
 
Jake Taylor (Tyrone, Pa./Tyrone Area) sits tied for 40th after a nine-over 80 in the first round. Taylor posted eight pars and one birdie.
 
Jay Uebelacker (Rochester, N.Y./Spencerport) finished tied for 48th eight pars in the first round while posting an 11-over 82. Luca Neally (Corning, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post) shot a 13-over 84 to end the day tied for 56th. Pat Uebelacker (Spencerport, N.Y./Spencerport) sits in 62nd after carding a 15-over 86.
 
The Huskies return to back to action on Tuesday, April 8 for the final round of the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational.
