LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – A school record in the javelin throw from
Kelly Leszcynski (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) highlighted a strong showing for the Bloomsburg women's track and field team at the LHU Qualifier in Lock Haven. The Huskies finished with nine event wins and eight personal bests.

Leszcynski got the maroon and gold off to a fantastic start on Friday afternoon by shattering her school record in the javelin throw with a mark of 50.40 meters (165' 4") on her last throw. The Nazareth-native beat her own school record by 2.75 meters and moves her into second in Division II.

Clara Dellinger (Carlisle, Pa./Boiling Springs) also set a personal best in the javelin with a mark of 34.20 meters (112' 2") while also hitting a PR in the hammer throw with a throw of 33.43 meters (109' 8").

Bloomsburg went 1-2-3 in the high jump, led by
Jewel Little's (East Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg Area) winning mark of 1.52 meters (4' 11.75").
Aria Messner (Avoca, Pa./Pittston Area) took second with a mark of 1.47 meters (4' 9.75") while
Paige Casterline (/) placed third with a jump of 1.37 meters (4' 6").

Coral Shivok (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) won the pole vault by clearing a height of 3.60 meters (11' 9.75") while
Hannah Gerhart (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) took third with a mark of 2.45 meters (8' 0.5").

Becca Martin (Wellington, Fla./Cushing Academy) was victorious in the shot put with a throw of 12.38 meters (40' 7.5") while
Julia Beccari (Lake Ronkonkoma, Pa./Sachem North) won the discus throw with a mark of 38.31 meters (125' 8").
Mikaela Sullivan (/) took third in both events, setting a personal-best of 11.80 meters (38' 8.75") in the shot put and a PR of 36.75 meters (120' 7") in the discus.

Briannan Eckard (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) took second in the hammer throw with a mark of 42.02 meters (137' 10"). Beccari finished with a personal-best throw of 40.27 meters (132' 1") while
Grace Rizzo (/) placed ninth with a PR of 31.92 meters (104' 9").

Lorelei Eberly (Downingtown, Pa./Coatesville Area) finished second in the long jump with mark of 4.68 meters (15' 4.25").

On the track,
Sydney Werner (Reading, Pa./Conrad Weiser) moved into fifth on the PSAC performance list in the 3,000-meter steeplechase while winning with a personal best of time of 11:33.07.

Abigail Parise (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) won the 400-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 1:04.28. Her time moves her into sixth on the conference list.

Emma Kay (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone Area),
Abby Rochester (Pocono Summit, Pa./Pocono Mountain West),
Megan Gambogi (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) and Messner combined to win the 4x100 relay, setting a season-best time of 49.75.

Meah Eshelman (Bedford, Pa./Bedford) took the win in the 5,000 meters with a time of 19:44.93.

Kay and Gambogi took second and third in the 200-meter dash. Kay ran a time of 27.23 while Gambogi corssed the line at 27.81.

Natalya Heard (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg Area) ran a time of 1:02.04 in the 400 meters to place second while Rochester finished third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.31.

The Huskies head to Slippery Rock on Thursday, May 8 for day one of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships.
