SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Bloomsburg women's track & field team sits in fifth overall after the first day of the 2025 PSAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The Huskies have five team sports after competing in a pair of events.

Junior
Amanda Kelly (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) capped the evening with a fourth-place finish in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 38:25.80. At the 2,800-meter mark, Kelly sat in sixth with a time of 11:35.81 before moving into fifth at the 3,200 mark. Kelly moved into fourth with a time of 14:38.56 at the 3,600-meter mark and remained in that position for the rest of the race. The fourth-place finish was Kelly's highest finish at the outdoor championship meet in her career.

Senior
Briannan Eckard (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) was the only other Husky in action on Thursday for the women's team and took 10th overall in the hammer throw with a distance of 44.71 meters. Eckard hit 42.43 meters on her first throw of the second flight and recorded her meet-best distance of 44.71 meters in her second toss. She finished the event with a throw of 43.61 meters and finished 10
th overall.

The Huskies return to action on Friday morning with the high jump to kick off the field events and the 4x100-meter relay on the track.Â
