LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Bloomsburg track & field standout
Kelly Leszcynski (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) was named a
Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference 2025 Spring Top 10 award recipient, as nominated and voted on by the Sports Information and Athletic Communications professionals of the conference.

The PSAC Top 10 was initiated in the 1998-99 academic year and is awarded to those men's and women's student-athletes who excel in both the classroom and athletic competition.

Leszcynski is the third individual member of the Bloomsburg women's track & field team to earn the honor and this spring is the fifth time in program history for a women's track & field student athlete to earn the award after Amber Hackenberg has three honors and Hannah Boudreau received the award once. She joins Brady Rimple (men's soccer) as the second Bloomsburg student-athlete to win the award this athletic year.
Leszcynski was the NCAA National Champion in Women's Javelin, with a school-record throw of 52.07m – the furthest throw in all of Division II this spring. The title was also the first Bloomsburg women's track & field national championship in any event. She also was the PSAC champion in the event and won four javelin competitions in total throughout the spring.

She adds PSAC Spring Top-10 honoree to her already extensive resume as she was named the USTFCCCA Atlantic Region Field Athlete of the Year, earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors, and All-PSAC honors this season. In 2023, Leszcynski was an All-American after finishing fourth at the NCAA DII 2023 Track & Field Championships and was the PSAC runner-up in the javelin. She brought home All-Region honors as well. Leszcynski is the school record holder in the javelin and has the 11 furthest throws in program history.

Leszcynski is also a stand-out on the basketball court and earned CSC Academic All-District honors this year. The redshirt sophomore jumped into a prominent role for Bloomsburg, playing in all 30 contests while making 12 starts on the season. The guard averaged 5.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.5 steals per game during the 2024-25 campaign. Leszcynski additionally played a complementary role along the perimeter, making 32.2 percent of her three-point attempts with 28 makes from deep on the season. Leszcynski is a two-time PSAC Scholar-Athlete and a one-time D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award recipient.Â

Leszcynski fought her way back to the court and javelin runway after being side-lined by injury for the 2023-24 athletic year. She picked up where she left off in the spring of 2025 as she threw an NCAA provisional mark in her first competition back from injury. Leszcynski also finished fourth in the championship flight of the javelin at the 2025 Penn Relays.

Leszcynski and the rest of the Top-10 honorees will be on the ballot for the prestigious PSAC Pete Nevins Award.
