BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's tennis team was named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team while six Huskies have earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors.

A student-athlete must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the current academic year to be considered for the ITA Scholar-Athlete Award.

Sergio Dilan (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Cedin) and
Vishesh Patel (Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India/Asia English School) earn ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for the second year in a row after going 8-6 as the Huskies' top doubles pair and claiming All-PSAC Second Team honors. The duo also earned CSC Academic All-District honors and PSAC Scholar-Athlete nods.

Iu Casamitjana (Igualada, Spain/Escola Pia Igualada) earns his second-career ITA Scholar-Athlete Distinction after an impressive 2024-25 campaign. Casamitjana went 9-4 in doubles action alongside
Denis Dementev (Saint-Petersburg, Russia/) to earned PSAC First Team Doubles honors. The junior went 9-7 in single matches to claim a spot on the second team singles lineup. Academically, Casamitjana has been named a CSC Academic All-District member and a PSAC Scholar-Athlete.

Albert Martin (Barcelona/Instituto Menendez y Pelayo) served as a reliable singles competitor for the Huskies this season, posting a combined record of 9-4 from the No. 3 and No. 4 slots. The senior from Barcelona earned CSC Academic All-District honors and was named a PSAC Scholar-Athlete as well.

Jaime Soria (Pamplona, Spain/Liceo Monjardin) had a strong season in single competition, going 8-5 in dual matches.
Vini Moura (Recife, Brazil/Hoosac School) has also earned ITA Scholar Athlete honors.

To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a grade point average of 3.2 or higher.

In 2025, 577 Division II Men's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, and 76 men's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
