BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's golf team will close out its fall schedule on the conference's biggest stage as the Huskies prepare to compete in the 2026 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men's Golf Championships, beginning Friday, Oct. 16.
Bloomsburg enters the championship following a fall campaign highlighted by steady individual performances, emerging young talent and one of the program's strongest single-round team efforts. The Huskies will look to build on that momentum against the conference field while pursuing individual and team honors.
The Huskies have received consistent contributions from Charlie O'Connor (Silver Spring, Md./Albert Einstein), Rylan Bravin (Frederick, Md./Urbana), Connor Matteo (Drums, Pa./Hazleton) and Patrick Bush (Belle Vernon, Pa./Belle Vernon) throughout the fall.
O'Connor leads Bloomsburg with a 77.0 stroke average across six rounds, highlighted by a season-low 75 at both the Husky Invitational and Susquehanna Invitational. Bravin has posted a 77.38 average over eight rounds, including a season-best 73 at the Jefferson Invitational.
Matteo has also been a steady presence in the Huskies' lineup, averaging 78.25 strokes across eight rounds. His season-best 72 came at the Susquehanna Invitational, the lowest round recorded by a Bloomsburg golfer this fall. Bush follows closely with a 78.38 average over eight rounds, including a season-low 74 at Susquehanna.
The Huskies' performance at Susquehanna provided one of the highlights of the fall campaign, as Bloomsburg matched the second-best single-day team round in program history. The effort showcased the lineup's ability to produce competitive scores across multiple positions heading into postseason play.
Wilson Abram (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area) has added depth with a 79.50 stroke average over six rounds, highlighted by a 76 at the Jefferson Invitational. Nash Bostdorf () has averaged 80.50 strokes over four rounds, while Colin Riekofsky (Smethport, Pa./Smethport Junior/Senior) has recorded a season-best 73 at the Husky Invitational.
Bloomsburg will look to translate those individual performances into a strong collective showing at the conference championship, where consistency across each round will be critical in the team standings.
The Huskies most recently competed at the Battle at Bulle Rock on Oct. 5-6 in Havre de Grace, Maryland, finishing sixth in the 11-team field with a two-round score of 647. Bostdorf and Bravin led Bloomsburg with matching 160s to tie for 21st, while Matteo finished tied for 26th at 163. Bush followed in 29th with a 164. Bloomsburg improved three strokes between rounds, closing with a 322 after opening with a 325.
The conference championship will also provide an opportunity for several Huskies to draw on previous postseason experience. Bush is a three-time PSAC Championship participant, having tied for 25th in 2024, while Matteo and Bravin competed in their first conference championships last fall.
Bloomsburg finished seventh in the nine-team field at the 2025 PSAC Championships, posting a three-round total of 936. The Huskies will look to improve on that result in their return to Lebanon.
The 2026 championship will be contested over three days, Friday through Sunday, Oct. 16-18, at Iron Valley Golf Club in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Head coach Chad Anthony leads the Huskies into the conference tournament.
