LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - After a stellar showing against West Chester on Friday, freshman Megan Luddecke (Hatboro, Pa./Hatboro Horsham) was named the PSAC Swimmer of the Week, Tuesday. 

Luddecke delivered an outstanding performance for Bloomsburg in its dual meet at West Chester, winning two individual events and anchoring a victorious relay against the Golden Rams. The freshman was the only women's swimmer from either team to capture multiple individual victories, sweeping the 100- and 200-yard freestyle events.

Luddecke opened her individual competition with a victory in the 200 freestyle, touching the wall in 1:57.08 to edge West Chester's Greta Saville by 0.65 seconds. She followed with another tightly contested win in the 100 freestyle, finishing in 53.39 to hold off West Chester's Lava Piuva by just eight-hundredths of a second.

Luddecke capped her performance by anchoring Bloomsburg's 400 freestyle relay to a thrilling victory. Entering the final leg trailing West Chester by 0.23 seconds, Luddecke delivered a 52.85 split to propel the Huskies to a winning time of 3:34.15, edging the Golden Rams by just 0.03 seconds.

Luddecke accounted for three of Bloomsburg's event victories, showcasing her individual speed and ability to deliver in closely contested races against a strong PSAC opponent.

The Huskies get back in the pool on Friday, October 30 at Penn State Behrend at 5:00 p.m.
