LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Senior Emily Gustie (Crofton, Md./Crofton) has been named the PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week following career-best outputs over the weekend.

Gustie anchored the Huskies' defense over the weekend as the team's lone libero and put in the shift for her team. The senior recorded back-to-back games with 20-plus digs, first notching 21 on Friday against Kutztown before totaling 23 in Bloomsburg's win over Millersville.

Gustie and the Huskies rallied after going down two sets to the Marauders to pull off the reverse sweep and pick up the team's first win in PSAC play this season. The senior added 11 assists and two service aces to her weekend totals.

On the Horizon:
The Bloomsburg volleyball team is back in action on Friday, October 9, at 6:00 p.m. as the Huskies host East Stroudsburg at Nelson Field House.
