YORK, Pa. – Junior Morgan Holmes (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) brought home the silver with an NCAA 'B' cut in the 50 free to lead the Bloomsburg women's swimming team at the first day of the PSAC Swimming Championships, Wednesday night. The Huskies are currently second overall with 202.5 team points.
 
Holmes entered the A Finals seeded seventh and dropped .42 off of her seed time to take second overall with an NCAA 'B' cut time of 23.57. Senior Rachel Cunningham (Hanover, Pa./South Western) was not far off as she touched the wall fourth with a time of 23.67. Samantha Linsey (Camp Hill, Pa./Cedar Cliff) finished fifth in the B Finals with a time of 24.23, exactly her seed time, and Sidney Beers (DeBois, Pa./DuBois Area) shaved off .38 from her seed time to win the C Finals with a time of 24.26. Olivia Igou (Flourtown, Pa./Springfield Township) took third in the C Finals with a time of 24.29, .16 faster than her seed time.
 
Saryn McCullough (Newark, De./Newark Charter) finished 14^th overall in the 1000-free with a time of 10:45.80 and Ella Dittmar (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) finished 21^st with a time of 10:56.52. Kaia Griffith (Pottstown, Pa./Spring-Ford) took 30^th with a time of 11:12.46.
 
Vanesa Valli (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) finished seventh in the A Finals of the 200-IM with a time of 2:10.47. Grace McBlain (Aldan, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) won the B Final with a time of 2:09.45, .31 faster than her seeded time. Morgan Keefer (Lewisberry, Pa./Northern York) also won her finals as she took first in the C Finals with a time of 2:10.01, 2.01 faster than her seed.
 
The 800-yard free relay team of Dittmar, Linsey, McCullough, and Keefer finished fifth to end the night with a time of 7:49.06.
 
The Huskies get back to action on Thursday morning when Day Two prelims get underway at 10:00 a.m. from the Graham Aquatic Center.
