DMR Team Wins Title; Women's Track & Field Second Overall After First Day of PSAC Indoor Track & Field Championships

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Bloomsburg women's track & field team is currently second with 30 team points after the first day of the 2026 PSAC Indoor Track & Field Championships.
 
The Huskies distance medley relay team of Cori McCormick (Ashland, Pa./North Schuylkill), Maddy Ikeler (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg), Sydney Werner (Reading, Pa./Conrad Weiser), and Lexi Tepper (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) came from five spots back in the final 1600 meters to win the 2026 DMR title.  McCormick opened the race with a 3:47.71 in the first 1200 before Ikeler ran a 1:02.03 in the next 400 meters. Werner ran a 2:22.70 in the next 800 as the Huskies were fifth with one distance to go. Tepper got the baton for the final 1600 and ran a 4:58.89 to overtake four spots and win the title with a time of 12:11.32. The quartet entered the event seeded first with a time of 12:17.54.
 
The long jump contingent of Abby Parise (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area), Aria Messner (Avoca, Pa./Pittston Area), and Devin Hubler (Minersville, Pa./Minersville Area) grabbed three podium spots to add to the team points. Parise finished fifth overall with a jump of 5.66 meters (18' 7") while Messner finished seventh with a jump of 5.56 meters (18' 3"). Hubler earned the final spot on the podium with a jump of 5.54 meters (18' 2.25").
 
Olivia Magagna (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter Strasburg) finished third overall in a very fast 5000-meter race with a time of 17:49.85 while Amanda Kelly (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) finished seventh with a time of 18:07.83.
 
Julia Beccari (Lake Ronkonkoma, Pa./Sachem North) finished fourth overall in the weight throw as she tossed a 15.08 meters (49' 5.75") with her second throw of the day.
 
Kendra Stout (/) qualified for the finals of the 400-meter dash after winning her heat with a time of 58.33. She had the second-fastest time overall after coming into the event seeded 12th with a time of 59.47.
 
The final day of the Indoor Championships get underway on Sunday with the high jump finals at 11:30 a.m.
