SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. –
Mikaela Sullivan (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) broke the school record in the shot put while
Aria Messner (Avoca, Pa./Pittston Area) posted an NCAA Provisional in a successful showing at the SU Mid-Week PR Bonanza on Thursday.

For the third week in a row, Sullivan has broken her own school record in the shot put. Sullivan won the shot put with a throw of 13.77 meters (45' 2.25"). She broke her previous school record by .49 meters.
Laura Dunn (/) posted a throw of 11.89 meters (39' 10.75") to place fifth while
Morgan Langdon (Dallas, Pa./Dallas) took ninth with an 11.24-meter (36' 10.5") throw.

Aria Messner (Avoca, Pa./Pittston Area) claimed victory in the long jump while posting an NCAA-provisional mark. Messner won the event with a career-best jump of 5.90 meters (19' 4.25"). The Avoca native's previous best jump was 5.60 meters. Messner currently sits 29th in the event in country.
Abby Parise (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) placed third in the event with a 5.80 (18' 7.25") while
Devin Hubler (Minersville, Pa./Minersville Area) took fourth with a jump of 5.66 meters (18' 7").

Alyssa Cunningham (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area) qualified for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships in the 1,500 meter, taking second with a time of 4:51.16.
Sydney Werner (Reading, Pa./Conrad Weiser) finished third just 1.5 seconds behind Cunningham, posting a time of 4:52.66.
Josephine Reed (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area) took fifth in the event with a time of 5:13.66 while
Alyssa Keeley (Northumberland, Pa./Shikellamy) ran a 5:28.93 to place seventh.

Parise claimed the victory in the 400-meter hurdles, running a time of 1:02.46. Madeline Ikeler finished fifth, running a 1:06.32. Ikeler also took fifth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.95.

Kelly Leszcynski (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) came away with the victory in the javelin, throwing a mark of 44.73 meters (146' 9").

Haley Connor won the 3,000-meter steeplechase, running a 13:19.41.

Kendra Stout (/) claimed a pair of top five finishes on Thursday. Stout took second in the 100-meter by running a 12.18 before recording a fourth-place finish in the 200-meter with a time of 25.33.

In the field,
Julia Beccari (Lake Ronkonkoma, Pa./Sachem North) took third in the hammer throw with a mark of 44.96-meters (147' 6"). The sophomore also finished fourth in discus with a throw of 39.15 meters (128' 5").

Hubler placed third in the triple jump with a jump of 11.77 meters (38' 7.5") while
Sophia Shults (Hazleton, Pa./Hazleton Area) claimed eighth with a jump of 11.14 meters (36'6.75").

The high jump saw
Jewel Little (East Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg Area) place fourth as she cleared 1.55 meters (5' 1"). Messner cleared the same height in more attempts to finish sixth.

Track and Field is back in action on Saturday, April 25 as they host Senior Day and the Maroon and Gold Invite at Redman Stadium.
