Sophia Reed (Estero, Fla./Estero) matched the program record for lowest single-round score while the Bloomsburg women's golf team sits in third after the opening round of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships at Berkleigh Golf Club on Wednesday.

The Huskies ended the first day of competition at 45-over par and sits in third with a team score of 333. It is the lowest single-round for the maroon and gold at the conference tournament.

Sophia Reed (Estero, Fla./Estero) is tied for second with Gannon's Alexandria LeCureux after matching the program record with a three-over par 75. The freshman opened the round with five straight pars before posting a birdie on the par-three sixth. A bogey on eight moved Reed back to even before rattling off another five pars in a row. Reed posted two more pars on holes 15 and 16. The Estero, Florida natives score ties
Olivia Martinez's (Bellevue, Ohio/Bellevue) school record of 75 set back in the fall of 2024.

Noemi Krizso (New Windsor, N.Y./Cornwall Central) ended the first day in a four-way tie for 14th after carding an 11-over 83. The junior posted two birdies and eight pars in the round. The middle of Krizso's round saw her go one-under from holes 8 to 12.

Emma Lewis (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown) sits one stroke back of Krizso, tied for 18th with Gannon's Victoria Colmenares at 12-over (84). After a tough first hole, Lewis posted back-to-back birdies and narrowly missed a third straight on the par-four fourth. Lewis ended the day with two birdies and six pars.

Emma Tolbert (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg Area) posted a 19-over 91 with three pars and is tied for 37th while
Nadia Yackanicz (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) finished tied for 42nd with a 25-over 97.

The second round begins at 10 a.m. while Bloomsburg tees off in the later groups.
Kate Pettersen (Okotoks, Alberta/North Shore Academy), who is subbing in for Yackanicz, begins the day for the Huskies at 12:20 p.m.
