LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - For the second-straight season,
Marykate Sitko (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) earned All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East First Team honors as a midfielder for the Bloomsburg lacrosse team. The All-Conference teams are nominated and voted on by the league's coaches and announced by the conference office.
This is the second First Team honor of her career after another standout season for the Huskies. Sitko led the Huskies with 57 points this season behind 37 goals and 15 assists. She was 7-for-14 in free position shots and had one game winning goal. She had a .708 shot on goal percentage and a .385 shooting percentage. Sitko led the team with 39 ground balls and was second on the team with 18 caused turnovers. Sitko won 49 draw controls, third most on the team.
She had a career-best five goals against Shepherd this season on March 14 and dished out a career-best three assists at Lock Haven on February 25. Sitko picked up a career-best seven ground balls at Millersville (04/25) and had six draw controls against Frostburg State (02/28) and at Kutztown (04/22).
For her career, Sitko has 98 goals and 34 assists and scored her 100th point this season. She is currently at 132 points. She had 92 ground balls and 54 caused turnovers and has won 128 draw controls.
