Pettine came back from an injury last spring and provided the Huskies defensive front with depth and production. He is a big-body that is able to stop both the inside and outside run, and he has become a formidable pass-rusher. Pettine will be one of the team leaders for the front this fall and has the power to become a commanding force, carrying on a great tradition of superior ends at BU. Pettine is a dedicated student on the field and in the classroom, and he is a coachable player who can change the game at any time.

2011: Earned third-team All-Region defense honors on the 2011 Don Hansen All-Super Region One team...Registered a sack for a loss of six yards and two tackles resulting in a loss of 11 yards in a 55-42 comeback win over West Chester (10/22)...Posted a sack for a loss of nine yards in a 38-18 victory over Shippensburg (10/15)...Recorded three tackles with one resulting in a loss of three yards in the 45-10 win over Clarion (9/10)...Named as an All-PSAC first team selection for the 2011 season...

2010: Recorded five tackles and one tackle for loss in opener against Ashland (9/4)...Made five tackles with one interception and one pass being broken up against Clarion (9/11)...Picked up three tackles and caused one quarterback hurry in win over IUP (9/18)...Recorded one tackle for a loss of eight yards and had one sack for a loss of eight yards in win over Millersville (9/25)...Made one tackle against Shippensburg (10/16)...Recorded three tackles and had one sack for a loss of seven yards in the victory over West Chester (10/23)...Logged five tackles and had a sack for a loss of 10 yards in win over C.W. Post (10/30)...Made five tackles and had one sack for a loss of six yards in victory over Kutztown (11/6/10)...Made five tackles and had two sacks resulting in a total loss of 11 yards in the victory over California (11/20)...Recorded four tackles and made one sack for a loss of seven yards against Mercyhurst in NCAA playoff game. (11/26).

2009: Broke up two passes and had back-to-back sacks against Kutztown...Had career-high four tackles against both Mercyhurst and West Chester.
