BLOOMSBURG - The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team blanked Chestnut Hill College by a score of 9-0 on Wednesday. It was the first dual match of the season for the Huskies.
Bloomsburg won all three doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead. At number two doubles the team of Laura Sullivan (Dingman's Ferry, Delaware Valley) and Andrea Malatesta (Berwick, Berwick) won by a score of 8-0.
In singles play, Emily Palko (McMurray, Peters Township), Kristen Bonito (Bridgewater, MA, Coyle Cassidy Memorial), and Malatesta all posted 6-0, 6-0 wins, while Sarah Fisher (Cherry Hill, NJ, Cherry Hill West) was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at number six.
Bloomsburg (1-0) hosts Mercyhurst on Saturday at 3 p.m.
