Women's Swim Team Defeat East Stroudsburg

EAST STROUDSBURG – The Bloomsburg University women's swim team dominated East Stroudsburg by a score of 120-85 on Friday.
Sophomore Bridget Hilferty (Royersford, Perkiomen Valley) led the Huskies with two first place finishes in the 200-free with a time of 1:59 and in the 500-free with a time of 5:22.69. Both winning times were PSAC-qualifying performances. Nicole Martin (Ephrata, Ephrata) took second in the 500-free with 5:32.58, while Mollie Dawson (Coatesville, Coatesville) placed third with 5:34.76.
Brittany McNeil (Oxford, Oxford Area) had a first place finish in the 100-breast with a time of 1:09.72 and a second place finish in the 100-free with a time of 56.47, while Julia DeVincent (Ambler, Upper Dublin) took third in the 100-free with 57.00.

In the 1000-free Miranda Steel (Hillsborough, NJ, Hillsborough) took first, while Rachel Nauman (Manheim, Hempfield) placed second with a time of 11:07.88 and Brie Globig (New Kensington, Plum) finished third in a time of 11:14.77.

In the 400-IM Madeline Barlow (Yardley, Pennsbury) finished in first with a time of 4:52.86. The Huskies 'A' team took first in the 200-free relay with a total time of 1:42.44. Jacquie Glaser (Easton, Easton), Nicole Martin (Ephrata/Ephrata), Nicole Chinnici (Vineland, NJ, Vineland) and Sarah Grawe (Stafford, VA, North Stafford) were the performers for the 'A' squad.

The Huskies 'A' team of Tori Hall (Newtown, Council Rock North), McNeil, Barlow, and Grawe placed second in the 200-medley relay with a time of 1:49.75.
Kelsey Brooker (Stevens, Cocalico) placed second in the 100-butterfly with a time of 1:01.88, while Danielle Wrecsics (Coopersburg, Palisades) took third with a time of 1:03.59. 
Grawe and Hall swam well for the Huskies in the 100-back with Grawe taking second place with 1:03.42 and Hall placing third with 1:04.21.

Bloomsburg 4-4 will next travel to Drexel on Saturday, January 22.
