BETHLEHEM—The Bloomsburg University men's indoor track team completed the first half of its season at the Lehigh University Fast Times Before Finals meet.
In the 4 x 400 relay the Huskies took first in 3:26.29.
Devin Barr (Pottstown/Pottsgrove) led things off with a solid split of 51.7. He handed off to
Jessie Mustapha (Philadelphia/University City) who ran a superb leg of 50.7 to hand off in the lead.
Cal Rosenstein (Shohola/Delaware Valley) took the stick for his two turns of the oval and keep the team in contact with a solid split of 53.4.
Marvin Carter (Bordentown, NJ/Bordentown Regional) received the baton to bring the squad home. His split of 50.2 was strong enough to hold off any challenges and secure the win.
The Huskies also qualified five individuals for the PSAC championships. In the 60 hurdles Steve Grib qualified in 8.80 seconds, Jesse Mustapha in the 200 with a time of 23.21,
Devin Barr (Pottstown/Pottsgrove) in the 60m dash in 7.13 seconds. Also,
Bobby Turner (Landisburg/West Perry) in the pole vault in 4.00m (13'1.5”), while
Jack Rosenstein (Shohola/Delaware Valley) had a toss of 14.95m (49.75”) in the 35lb weight throw, setting a new school record in the process.
