SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The Bloomsburg men's track & field team is tied for third with nine team points after the first day of the PSAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday.
The Huskies collected seven total points in the hammer throw to open the day. A pair of Huskies made the finals as
Michael Taylor (/) took fourth overall with a throw of 52.37 meters (171' 10") and
Cam Williams (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton West) finished seventh overall with a throw of 48.84 (160' 3").
Jack Donchez (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty High School) finished 12th with a distance of 43.08 meters (141' 4") while
Dylan Krugh (Bangor, Pa./Bangor Area) finished 15th (42.33 meters • 138' 10") and
Ryan Walker (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) finished 16th (41.64 meters • 136' 7").
Rex Farr (Milton, Pa./Milton Area) added points for the Huskies as he took seventh overall in the 10K with a time of 31:30.77.
Andrew Kane (Bradford, Pa./Bradford Area) is currently 12th in the decathlon with 2920 points. He finished 13th in the 100m (11.69), ninth in the long jump (6.39 meters), 12th in the shot put (8.76 meters), 11th in the high jump (1.73 meters), and 12th in the 400m (56.07).
Kane kicks things off Friday morning with the 110m-hurdles in the decathlon at 10:00 a.m. while the high jump gets under way at 12:00 p.m.
