BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University wrestling swept three matches at the BU Duals on Saturday downing Sacred Heart (CT) 47-0, George Mason, 26-15 and East Stroudsburg, 41-4.
 
In the first match of the day the Huskies a win by fall, one by technical fall and three by major decision along with three forfeit wins in routing the Pioneers of Sacred Heart. Bloomsburg's Mike Dessino (Middlesex, NJ/Middlesex) posted the pin for the Huskies at 174 pounds winning in 6:14. At 149 pounds Bryce Busler (Mechanicsburg/Cumberland Valley) won by technical fall by a score of 20-4 in 4:11.
 
The Huskies then faced the Patriots of George Mason earning the 11-point win. Dereck Enders (Newville/Big Spring) got the Huskies off to a good start with a win by fall at 125 pounds in just 1:06. George Mason tied the score at 6-6 with wins in the next two bouts before Busler won by pin in just 3:36 to put Bloomsburg back on top 12-6.
 
Bloomsburg's Frank Hickman (Castle Hayne, NC/E.A. Laney) then won by technical fall, 20-2, in 6:30 followed by a win from Kevin Hartnett (Staten Island, NY/Monsignor Farrell) at 165 pounds. The Patriots won the next two matches before the Huskies closed out the match with wins at 197 from Richard Perry (Meriden, CT/Middletown) and Zac Walsh (Denville, NJ/Morris Knolls) at 285.
 
In the final match of the day the Huskies rolled over East Stroudsburg, 41-4. Bloomsburg opened the match with pins by 125-pounder Elliot Zackoski (Scranton/West Scranton) and 133-pounder Craig Barker (Lecanto, FL/Citrus). Zackoski put his opponent away in 1:25, while Barker earned his pin in 2:54. Bloomsburg also picked up a win by fall from Mike Dessino (Middlesex, NJ/Middlesex) from 174 and Zac Walsh (Denville, NJ/Morris Knolls) at 285 to end the day.

Bloomsburg, now 5-3, will wrestle next Saturday at the PSAC Championships being hosted by Mercyhurst College.
