Track Teams Close out Regular Season

KUTZTOWN--The Bloomsburg University men's and women's track and field teams closed out the regular season at the Kutztown Last Chance meet on Saturday. The Huskies sent a partial squad to the meet with several of the athletes looking to better there seeding at the PSAC championships on May 12-14.

In the high jump Vanessa Rimbey jumped a new PSAC mark in the high jump of 1.58m (5'2.25") and improved her PSAC standing in the long jump of 5.33m (17'6").  Narrowly missing the triple jump standard by 1cm was Alilia Anderson jumping 10.59m (34'9").  Also improving her PSAC standard in the 800 was Katie Meck running 2:20.90 to win.
 
On the men's side Jason LaForme won the javelin improving his PSAC mark at 57.94m (190') and the 4x400 relay of Cal Rosenstein (Shohola/Delaware Valley), Jessie Mustapha (Philadelphia/University City)Jared Arnold (Philadelphia/Engineering & Science ), and Devin Barr (Pottstown/Pottsgrove) won the race running in a near season- best time of 3:21.60.

Bloomsburg will compete in the PSAC championships at Slippery Rock University, May 12-14.
