Stuck Ties School Record at SU Open

FINAL RESULTS

SUSQUEHANNA—The Bloomsburg University men's indoor track team completed a successful meet at the SU Open on Friday night. Friday's events produced a PSAC qualifier, a first place finish and the tying a Bloomsburg University school record.

Dominic Mannello (Northumberland/Shikellamy) was a PSAC qualifier in the pole vault with a jump of 4.00m (13'1.5”).  His qualifying jump placed him 10th in the event.  Teammate Matthew Stuck took third in the Pole Vault as he tied his personal best, which is also a BU school record, with a jump of 4.45m (14'7.25”). 

The men's 4x200 relay team of Cal Rosenstein (Shohola/Delaware Valley), Devin Barr (Pottstown/Pottsgrove), Tywan Faust (Chester/Glen Mills), and Jessie Mustapha (Philadelphia/University City) were first place finishers with a time of 1.31.58 seconds.  Mustapha also finished second in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.00 seconds, just 0.18 seconds off the leader. 

Josh Barnett took home fourth in the 400 meter dash, running at 52.42 seconds.  Two other notable finishers for the Huskies were Stephen Grib (Vernon, NJ/Vernon) and Matt Ishman (Milton/Milton Area) who were third and fourth respectively in the 60 hurdles.  Grib ran the hurdles in 8.65 seconds with Ishman with a time of 8.76 seconds.

Friday's meet was Bloomsburg's final tune-up before next weekend's PSAC Championships which will take place in Edinboro, PA.  The events will start on Saturday, February 25th and will conclude that Sunday.
