Final Results
BLOOMSBURG—Two school records highlighted the third and final day of the 2012 PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) Track and Field Championships for the Bloomsburg University men's team.
In the 400-meter dash,
Jessie Mustapha (Philadelphia/University City) finished fourth in a school record time of 48.19, breaking the mark of 48.60 set back in 1979 by Carter White.
Then in the final event of the championships the Huskies 4 x 400 relay team finished second in a school record time of 3:13.40, breaking the mark set last year at the PSAC championships. Competing for the Huskies in the relay were
Cal Rosenstein (Shohola/Delaware Valley), Mustapha,
Devin Barr (Pottstown/Pottsgrove) and
Marvin Carter (Bordentown, NJ/Bordentown Regional). The time was also an NCAA provisional time.
Other highlights for the Huskies included a fourth place finish for
Justin Shirk (Harrisburg/Central Dauphin) in the javelin with a mark of 60.80 meters (199'6”); while in the high jump
Earvin Paul (Spring Valley, NY/Paramus Catholic) was sixth with a mark of 1.90 meters (6'2.75”). In the pole vault
Matt Stuck (Milton/Milton) was seventh with a vault of 4.36 meters (14'3.50”).
In the 4x 100 relay the Huskies were seventh in 42.88 seconds with the team of
Shawn Geiser (Wellsboro/Wellsboro ), barr,
Tywan Faust (Chester/Glen Mills) and Jeremy Irving.
Also competing today for Bloomsburg were
Kyle Phillips (Waynesboro/Waynesboro) in the 1500 and
Dominic Mannello (Northumberland/Shikellamy) and
Stephen Grib (Vernon, NJ/Vernon) in the pole vault.
As a team the Huskies finished ninth with 30.50 points.
