BLOOMSBURG—Senior
Amber Aulenbach (Fleetwood/Oley Valley) scored one goal and assisted on three others to lead the third-ranked Bloomsburg University field hockey team to a 6-4 come-from-behind win over East Stroudsburg on Saturday.
The Huskies took the early lead in the game when
Alexis Weber (Bear, DE/William Penn) put a pass right on the stick of
Brooke Simonovich (East Stroudsburg/Stroudsburg) who drilled it past goalie Sarah Dobroskey just 8:48 into the game.
East Stroudsburg answered exactly two minutes later when Lauren Ventrella lofted a shot over the head of the Huskies' goalie
Megan Eppley (Camp Hill/Camp Hill). The Warriors then grabbed the lead in the 23
rd minute when Alyson Becker scored the first of her two goals. Becker had taken a shot with Bloomsburg's
Jaclyn Beasley (Berlin, NJ/Eastern) making the defensive save. But, Becker took the deflected shot and poked it in the goal.
Becker came back with her second goal with just 1:02 left before the half when she scored on another penalty corner opportunity, again punching in a shot off a save.
The Huskies though quickly countered and drove right down the field on the restart of play with Aulenbach scoring with a big shot with just 35 seconds left in the half making it a 3-2 game at the half.
Bloomsburg tied the score at 3-3 when Aulenbach fed
Jenna DiSabatino (Mountain Top/Crestwood) who drilled it past a diving Dobroskey just 5:29 into the second half. The Huskies then took their first lead from early in the game just three and a half minutes later.
On a penalty corner opportunity

The Huskies added to their lead when the combination of Aulenbach to
Jenna DiSabatino (Mountain Top/Crestwood) converted again on a penalty corner with 10:21 to play in the game giving Bloomsburg a 5-3 lead.
East Stroudsburg made it a one-goal game with 8:49 to play when Jessica Lawville put in a ball that initially went off the pads of Eppley on a shot by Lauren Ventrella. But the Huskies closed out the game with a goal by
