MATCH NOTES

BLOOMSBURG--The 19th-ranked Bloomsburg University wrestling team will play host to 15th-ranked Edinboro University on Friday night at 7 p.m. at the Nelson Field House. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for the match-up of Division I nationally ranked teams.

Bloomsburg is 11-2 after beating Ohio University last Sunday, 24-9. The Huskies, winners of five straight matches, moved up one spot to 19th in this week's Division I coaches poll. In Bloomsburg's win over Ohio University the Huskies won seven of the 10 matches, including three by major decision, in getting the victory. Picking up wins by major decision were Sean Boylan (Seaville, NJ/St. Marks), Frank Hickman (Castle Hayne, NC/E.A. Laney) and Andre Petroski (Glenn Mills/Springfield).

Edinboro is 7-3 on the year and is ranked 15th in the latest coaches poll. The Fighting Scots are coming off a 35-6 win over Lock Haven last Saturday. The Fighting Scots won eight of 10 matches, including five with bonus points.  Warren Bosch, Ernest James and A.J. Schopp won by fall, with Patrick Jennings and Dave Habat winning major decisions.
