MATCH NOTES

BLOOMSBURG--After a break for finals week, the 22nd-ranked Bloomsburg Huskies wrestling team will travel west on I-80 to take on Eastern Wrestling League rival Lock Haven. It will by the EWL opener for the Huskies, while Lock Haven is 0-1 in EWL action. Match time is set for 8 p.m.

A year ago the Huskies beat the Bald Eagles 30-7 at the Nelson Field House to wrap up a perfect 5-0 EWL season and claim the 2012-13 EWL dual-meet title. It was the first-ever outright title for the Huskies who had shared the 1993 title with Lock Haven.

Bloomsburg moved to 22nd in this week's USA Today/NWCA/AWN Division I Coaches poll. The Huskies had fallen to 25 last week, but rebounded this week to 22nd. Of the team's ranked in this week's poll the Huskies will face/or have faced Illinois (#11); Edinboro (#15); Lehigh (#20) and Rider (#25).
