COMPLETE RESULTSBLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's swim team knocked off West Chester in its season opener by a score of 161-101 on Saturday at the Nelson Field House pool. It was the Huskies first win over the Golden Rams since the 1998-99 season.

The Huskies started quickly on the day taking first and second in the 400-medley relay with the team of
Alex Wheatley (Dresher/Upper Dublin), Nikki Young,
Rachel Brooker (Stevens/Cocalico ) and
Ashley Dix (Schwenksville/Perkiomen Valley) winning in a time of 4:00.38.

In the 200-free
Caroline Hodgins (Schwenksville, PA) and
Meghan Gallagher (Aston/Sun Valley) went 1-2 for the Huskies with Hodgins winning in 1:56.02 and Gallagher taking second in 1:57.07. Hodgins, a transfer from Towson University, also won the 500-free in 5:13.13.

Gallagher later came back and took first in both the 50- and 100-free events swimming 24.92 in the 50 and 54.57 in the 100.

Wheatley swept the backstroke events taking first in both the 100 and 200 events winning with a time of 59.85 in the 100 and 2:13.63 in the 200. Also in the 200-back the Huskies finished 2-3 with
Megan Carey (Waymart, PA/Holy Cross) and
Karly Hursey (Hampstead, MD/Carroll, MD).

Returning NCAA-qualifier
Rachel Brooker (Stevens/Cocalico ) also swept two events for the Huskies taking first in the 200-fly in 2:11.08 and the 100-fly in 59.67.

Also winning for the Huskies was
Kaci McIlmoyle (Landenberg/Avon Grove) who won the 200-IM in 2:14.86.
