STORYLINEThe 20th-ranked Huskies women's swim team will host PSAC rival Clarion on Saturday, November 22 at 12 p.m. in Nelson Fieldhouse.

LAST TIME OUTBloomsburg defeated Dickinson, 139-109, on Saturday, Nov. 15. Megan Gallagher posted the fastest time in the PSAC this season in the 50-free with a mark of 24.47 seconds. She also posted the third-best time in the PSAC this season in the 100-free when she led off the 400-free relay in 53.88.Â
Sarah Ritter posted the third best time in the PSAC this year in the 100-breast with a mark of 1:07.81, while her 200-IM time of 2:15.94 was 10
th best. Also,
Nicole Young moved into the top five in the PSAC in the 200-breast with a time of 2:28.06, while Caroline Hodgin is fifth in the 200-fly in 2:14.69 and seventh in the 100-free in 54.38. Sophomore
Brooke Gilson swam the eighth-best time in the 500-free with a mark of 5:21.09, while
Karly Hursey posted the seventh best time in the PSAC in the 1000-free in 10:58.22. Finally,
Rachel Brooker broke into the PSAC top 10 in the 100-back with a time of 1:02.52.

SCOUTING CLARIONThe Golden Eagles lost to Carnegie Mellon, 158.5 – 141.5, on Saturday, Nov. 1.  Gabriella Schaffer won both her specialties, taking the 100 backstroke with a time of 59.28 and the 200 back with a 2:08.68 clocking. Emilee
Gysegem won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:27.79 and the 200 IM with a time of 2:11.13. She also ended second in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 1:09.33 – losing by just 28-hundredths of a second. Also winning in the pool was
Anna McNurlen, who captured the 100 freestyle with a time of 54.90.
Emily Ondrizek also placed second in the 50 free with a time of 25.34, while
Kelsey Slayton was second in the 100 fly with a 1:01.07 clocking. Clarion's 200 medley relay of Schaffer, Gysegem, Slayton and Ondrizek won with a time of 1:50.17, while the 200 free relay of Ondrizek,
Summer Dacheux,
Rachel Wrotniewski and McNurlen won with a time of 1:41.26.

LAST MEETINGThe Huskies fell to Clarion in 2012 with a score of 192.5-107.50.
Bridget Hilferty continued her strong season in the distance events winning both the 1650- and 500-free events. In the 1650 she turned in a mark of 17:58.64, while in the 500 she won with a time of 5:17.03.
Kaci McIlmoyle was second in 400-IM in 4:46.86; third in 200-back in 2:14.46 and third in the 200-fly in 2:16.60. In the 100-fly
Kelsey Brooker tied for first with a mark of 1:01.22, while
Ashley Dix was second in the 50-free in 25.62 seconds and third in the 100-free in 55.63 seconds. Posting PSAC-qualifying times on the day were Hilferty in the 1650-free (17:58.64);
Ashley Dix in the 200-free (2:01.00) and McIlmoyle in the 200-fly (2:16.60) and the 400-IM (4:46.86)

UP NEXTBloomsburg will travel to Akron, Ohio for the Akron Invitational from Friday, Dec. 5 to Sunday, Dec. 7 and look to improve upon their national ranking.
