RESULTSBLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's swim team swam past Clarion University, 146-115, on Saturday afternoon at the Nelson Field House pool. With the men's team also beating Clarion, it marked the first time in school history both the men's and women's team have beaten Clarion in a dual meet on the same day.

It was a big day in the water for the Huskies who posted three times that ranked as the best in the PSAC so far this season prior to the taper meets in the next two weeks.
In the 200-medley relay the Huskies posted the top time with a mark of 1:48.85 with the team of
Alex Wheatley (Dresher/Upper Dublin), Nikki Young,
Rachel Brooker (Stevens/Cocalico ) and
Meghan Gallagher (Aston/Sun Valley).

In the 1650-free
Caroline Hodgins (Schwenksville, PA) swam a conference-best time of 17:44.60; while
Rachel Brooker (Stevens/Cocalico ) also posted the best time in the 100-fly in 58.37 seconds.
Along with the top times posted in two events and a relay, Bloomsburg also had top five PSAC times in several other events. In the 1650-free
Brooke Gilson (Whitehall/Whitehall) is second to Hodgins in 18:14.49, while Young is third fastest in the 100-breast in 1:07.61. Also, Wheatley is second fastest in the 200-back in 2:11.36.

Bloomsburg will now prepare for its taper meet, the Akron Invitational, in two weeks (Dec. 5-7).
