Alex Wheatley (Dresher/Upper Dublin) and
Caroline Hodgins (Schwenksville, PA) each won two events to lead the Bloomsburg University women's swim team to a 139-123 win over Gannon University on Friday night.

Wheatley took first in both the 100- and 200-backstroke events, while Hodgins finished first in the 500- and 1000-free. Both swimmers also were part of winning relay teams with Wheatley helping the Huskies win the 200-medley relay, while Hodgins was part of the 400-free relay team that took first.

Individually in the 100-back Wheatley posted a time of 59.86 seconds, the seventh fastest time in school history, then came back with a time of 2:11.90 in the 200-back. Hodgins took first in the 1000-free in 10:37.88, then won the 500-free in 5:18.33. Hodgins also took a second in the 100-free in 54.50 seconds.

Also claiming first place finishes were Nikki Young in the 100-breast in 1:09.53 and 200-breast
Sarah Ritter (Hampstead, MD/Carroll, MD) was first in 2:27.68.

In the 200-medlay the Huskies were first in 1:51.06 with Wheatley, Ritter,
Rachel Brooker (Stevens/Cocalico ) and
Meghan Gallagher (Aston/Sun Valley). In the 400-free relay Bloomsburg won with a time of 3:37.44 with
Ashley Dix (Schwenksville/Perkiomen Valley),
Kaci McIlmoyle (Landenberg/Avon Grove), Hodgins and Gallagher.
