STORYLINE
Bloomsburg women's lacrosse will open up their season at defending national champion and top-ranked LIU Post. Last season Bloomsburg lost at home to LIU, 9-7. The Huskies would go on to finish 10-7 overall, and 7-4 in the conference.

CAPTAINS RETURN TO LEAD HUSKIES
The Huskies will be lead this season by captains Ashley Bossert (Ambler/Wissahickon), Aubrey Bossert (Ambler/Wissahickon) and Julie Falk (Millersville/Penn Manor). Ashley Bossert (Ambler/Wissahickon) was fifth on the team with 15 goals last season, and finished with 21 points. Aubrey Bossert (Ambler/Wissahickon) was second on the team in both caused turnovers and draw controls, with 18 and 46 respectively. Falk led the Huskies with 46 goals, 60 points, and 74 draw controls.

LAST TIME OUT
In the last meeting, the Pioneers started the game with six unanswered goals in the first 10 minutes, and held on for the win. After falling behind early, Julie Falk (Millersville/Penn Manor) scored an unassisted goal with 11:06 left in the half. LIU quickly responded with a goal to make it 7-1, followed by Ashley Bossert (Ambler/Wissahickon) scoring the second goal of the game for the Huskies. Less than two minutes later with 2:01 left in the half, Sam Mazzie (Barto/Boyertown) scored an unassisted goal for Bloomsburg. At the end of the first half LIU led, 8-3. In the second half of the game, Morgan Sherriff (Downingtown/Coatesville) and Patrice Coleman (Media/Penncrest ) each scored a goal, while LIU only scored once. Falk scored two more times before the game ended to cap off her hat trick. The 9-7 final score was the closest goal-differential for LIU in any 2013 regular season game, while the nine goals were the lowest goal total for the Pioneers in any game of the regular season.

SCOUTING LIU
Last season LIU went 20-0 overall, and 7-0 in the conference for an undefeated season. The Pioneers defeated Limestone College by a score of 10-7 to win their second straight Division II national championship. LIU's Jackie Sileo was named the East Coast Conference Player of the Year, as well as attacker of the Year by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association. The senior attacker led Division II in points with 178, with 61 goals and 117 assists. Ashley Olen led the team with 89 goals. Goalkeeper Dominique Mosca had 116 saves on the season with a save percentage of .523.
