Women’s Lacrosse Wins Big on Senior Day

Box Score BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's lacrosse team dominated Millersville Saturday afternoon, 17-5, in the last regular season Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) game.  Prior to the game the Huskies honored their two seniors; Ashley Bossert (Ambler/Wissahickon) and Aubrey Bossert (Ambler/Wissahickon), and celebrated the Friends with Jaclyn Foundation.  
 
The Huskies (9-7 overall, 7-5 PSAC) were up 4-0 with 13 minutes to go in the first half before Millersville got on the board to make the game 4-1.  Ashley Bossert (Ambler/Wissahickon), Marisa Moley (Phoenixville/Spring-Ford), Morgan Sherriff (Downingtown/Coatesville), and Julie Falk (Millersville/Penn Manor) all tallied goals for Bloomsburg, while Falk Patrice Coleman (Media/Penncrest ), and Ashley Bossert (Ambler/Wissahickon) each had an assist. 
 
The Marauders (5-12, 1-11) and Huskies traded one goal apiece bringing the score to 5-2 before Bloomsburg pulled away with a seven goal run over 17 minutes.  Kyne, Falk, Coleman, Aubrey Bossert (Ambler/Wissahickon), Moley, and Sherriff all contributed to make the score 12-2 with 16:01 to go.
 
Millersville scored three goals in a row in a three minute span in an attempt to keep themselves in the game.  However, the Huskies finished the game on a five goal run to secure the 17-5 win.
 
Falk and Moley led Bloomsburg's offense with six points each.  Falk ended the day with three goals and three assists, while Moley finished with four goals and two assists.  Kyne and Sherriff tallied three goals each, and Kyne snatched a game-high five draw controls.  In goal Abbey Burnett (Frederick, MD/Walkersville) made four saves and registered two groundballs. 
 
With the six points from today's game, Falk jumps into second in Bloomsburg's all-time list for career points with 225. 
 
In their careers the Bosserts have played in a total of 140 games, scored 105 goals and tallied 32 assists for 137 points. They have also contributed 199 ground balls, 181 draw controls, and caused 88 turnovers.
 
Bloomsburg clinched the sixth seed in the PSAC tournament with today's win and travel to third ranked IUP Tuesday, April 29 for a 4 p.m. game.
