The Huskies beat Edinboro in the Fighting Scots last visit to the Nelson Field House. In the 2012-13 season then 19th-ranked Bloomsburg scored a 19-18 win over 15th-ranked Edinboro University in a match decided on the third criteria, total match points. The Huskies won on total match points (52-41). It was the first win for the Huskies over Edinboro since the 2004-05 season. Edinboro raced out to a 15-0 lead after the first four weights before the Huskies rallied winning four of the next five matches. The Fighting Scots still led 18-15 going to the final bout at 285 pounds, but the Huskies'
Justin Grant (Easton/Easton) scored a 9-4 win to tie the match at 18-18. The first tiebreaker rule is number of matches won by each team, which was equal at 5-5. The next tiebreaker is which team had the most combined falls and tech falls, which was tied at 1-1. Going to the third tiebreaker is total match points (after throwing out the fall and tech fall bouts). That was won by the Huskies, 52-41.
Edinboro comes into the match with a record of 9-4, 2-0 in the EWL. The team's record does not include yesterday's match at Rider.

Missing from the Edinboro lineup is A.J. Schopp who suffered an injury at the Midlands Tournament and is out indefinately. He is ranked #2 in the country at 133 and is 15-1 on the year. (Schopp was ranked #1 before his injury.)
Warren Bosch was named the EWL Wrestler of the Week last week. Bosch helped Edinboro to a 27-12 win over #20 Kent State last week. Though giving up 40 pounds, he put an exclamation point on the victory as he won by fall over Mimmo Lytle. He took Lytle down after a short scramble at the edge of the mat and seconds later recorded his seventh fall just 45 seconds into the match.
A year ago the Fighting Scots beat the Huskies 29-10 at McComb Fieldhouse. In the match the Huskies
Richard Perry (Meriden, CT/Middletown) won the 100th match of his career with a win over Vince Pickett. Edinboro won seven of the 10 matches with four of the wins coming with bonus points.
Edinboro leads the all-time series with the Huskies 20-9.
