YPSILANTI, MI--The Bloomsburg University wrestling team opened its dual meet season on Saturday at the Eastern Michigan Duals falling to Kent State, 33-3; Eastern Michigan, 38-6, and Northern Illinois, 33-3.
 
In the match with Ken State, the Huskies Bo Spiller (Quarryville, Pa./Solanco) picked up a win at 285 pounds when he won 16-10. In a battle of ranked wrestlers, Kent State's Mike DePalma (#26) narrowly edged the Huskies T.C. Warner (Mechanicsburg/Cumberland Valley ) at 149 pounds by a 5-4 score.
 
Against Eastern Michigan the Huskies Andy Schutz (Exeter, Pa./Wyoming Area) picked up the team's lone win with a victory by fall at 133 pounds in 1:14. At 174 pounds the Huskies Kyle Wojtaszek (Brick, NJ/Brick Township) lost a tough match with Jake Davis, ranked 33^rd, losing 3-2 in a tie-breaker. Bloomsburg also lost three other close matches by scores of 3-0, 2-0 and 2-0.
 
In the match with Northern Illinois Brendon Colbert (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) posted a win at 157 pounds when he won 4-0. Warner also lost a tough 6-3 decision at 149 pounds.
 
Bloomsburg, 0-3, will be back in action on Sunday, Nov. 15 hosting Clarion at 2 p.m.
