STORYLINE
The Huskies play their first game in the state of Pennsylvania and look to pick up their first win of the season. While in St. Leo, Florida, the Huskies dropped contests to St. Leo and No. 5 Limestone, by respective scores of 9-8 and 15-9. Against Limestone, the Huskies held a 7-6 lead at halftime, before being outscored 8-3 in the second half to give the Saints the win.
SCOUTING HOLY FAMILY
The Lions come into the matchup with a 1-2 record, with their lone victory being a 20-19 overtime thriller vs. fellow PSAC East school Millersville. Through three games, junior midfielder Paige Settar leads the team in both points with nine and goals with eight. In the cage, junior Grace Deckert has started all three contests so far. In 173 minutes she has made 28 saves.
SERIES HISTORY
This will be the first meeting between Bloomsburg and Holy Family.
LEADING BY EXAMPLE EARLY
Coming off a stellar junior season, senior attacker Julie Falk (Millersville/Penn Manor) has picked up right where she left off. She tallied three goals in the loss to St. Leo and leads the team with five goals. Senior Carly Ball (Lansdale/North Penn) and sophomore Brigid Kyne (Newtown Square/Marple Newtown) also have four goals apiece.
FRESHMAN DEBUTS IN NET
Brittney Hegarty (Rochester/Rush Henrietta) started both games in Florida, playing the whole 60 minutes. Against Limestone, she faced 30 shots and saved eight.
KEEPING UP THE OFFENSIVE PRESSURE
On the season, the Huskies have mounted attack after attack and put plenty of pressure on opposing goalies. So far, BU has outshot opponents 63-43.
