STORYLINE
The Bloomsburg University women's lacrosse team will look to advance in the PSAC Tournament with an upset at third-seeded West Chester on Tuesday. The Huskies earned the No. 6 seed in the tournament with a 7-5 record in PSAC play this spring, advancing to the conference postseason for the ninth consecutive year.

PLAYOFF PICTURE
Tuesday's quarterfinal winner will advance to Friday's semifinals vs. No. 2 Mercyhurst (14-3, 10-2 PSAC). Tuesday's other quarterfinal will see No. 4 Seton Hill (13-4, 9-3) take on No. 5 IUP (10-7, 8-4) with that winner playing vs. No. 1 Lock Haven (16-0, 12-0) on Friday. Both Friday's semifinals and Saturday's championship games will be held at Lock Haven.

PLAYOFF HISTORY
The Huskies and Golden Rams last met in the PSAC Tournament during Bloomsburg's 2012 PSAC Championship season when Bloomsburg won in the semifinals at Lock Haven, 15-11. Julie Falk (Millersville/Penn Manor) netted three goals with three assists that day. The two teams also met in the 2004 and 2005 PSAC Championship Game with West Chester winning both times at home. Bloomsburg and West Chester have long been two of the PSAC's best – the Golden Rams have won a conference-best 21 PSAC titles while Bloomsburg ranks third in that category with four titles, the last coming in 2012.

SCOUTING WEST CHESTER
The Golden Rams enter the playoffs red hot as winners of their past seven games after falling to 5-4, 3-3 PSAC following a 10-3 setback at Lock Haven on April 4. Included in the winning streak was an upset of No. 9 LIU Post, 11-10, in non-conference play last week before finishing the conference slate with a 16-6 victory over East Stroudsburg on Saturday.
West Chester ranks fifth in the PSAC in goals per game (12.8) and third in goals allowed per game (8.7). The Golden Rams defense also is third in caused turnovers per game (9.0).
The Golden Rams boast a balanced attack offensively – Ashley Pyle (37), Hannah Cowan (36) and Erin Eckert (32) are all bunched together in goals scored with Pyle's 63 points leading the team this spring. Dina Cifelli paces the team in assists with 39 while Sarah Dennison has been strong off the draw, leading the team with 51 draw controls.
Merrilee Viguers has started 12 games in net, making 89 saves with a 8.52 goals against average on the year.

LAST MEETING
For the second consecutive year, the Huskies scored an upset victory over a nationally ranked West Chester team, winning 7-6 on the road on March 21. On that day, Falk sent the Huskies home with a win by netting the game-winning goal with just two seconds to play off an assist from Marisa Moley (Phoenixville/Spring-Ford).
A defensive struggle throughout, Bloomsburg led 2-1 at halftime with West Chester owning an 18-16 edge in shots. Falk and Brigid Kyne (Newtown Square/Marple Newtown) each had three goals apiece for the Huskies while Erin Eckert had two goals for West Chester.

FALK NETS NUMBER 200
Senior Julie Falk (Millersville/Penn Manor) reached another career milestone in Saturday's 15-8 win at Millersville as she scored her 200th career goal, one of three on the day. Falk, who already owns the school's record for career goals, enters Tuesday's game with 292 career points, just two away from the school record of 294 set by Georgia Carinci from 2001-04.
KYNE MATCHES CAREER HIGH
Brigid Kyne (Newtown Square/Marple Newtown) helped the Huskies seal a playoff berth with one of her best days as a Husky by scoring six times in the win at Millersville. The performance tied a career high – she also scored six goals in an upset win over West Chester last year.

HUSKIES STAT LEADERS
Julie Falk (Millersville/Penn Manor) leads the Huskies in goals (45), points (60) and shots (104) this season while Brigid Kyne (Newtown Square/Marple Newtown) has netted 33 goals and tallied 41 points. Carly Ball (Lansdale/North Penn) has registered 20 goals while Taylor Turner (Corning, N.Y./Corning West) has 18 and Marisa Moley (Phoenixville/Spring-Ford) has scored 14 times. Kyne also leads the Huskies in draw controls (54), ground balls (47) and caused turnovers (28). Moley paces the team with 25 assists with Falk (15), Morgan Sherriff (Downingtown/Coatesville) (8) and Kyne (8) following.
