BLOOMSBURG-Despite winning four of the six matches contested, the Bloomsburg University wrestling team fell to Brown University, 32-12, on Sunday afternoon at the Nelson Field House in a non-league matchup.

The Huskies had to forfeit four weight classes on the day due to a variety of issues, including injury, but were able to pick up four wins on the afternoon.

After forfeiting 125 pounds, Bloomsburg's Andy Schutz (Exeter, Pa./Wyoming Area) scored a 9-6 win over Ezekial Salvo. Schutz led 9-3 going to third period getting three takedowns and a two-point near fall to lead 9-3. In the third period Salvo made it close with an escape and a takedown.

After the Huskies forfeited at 141 and 149, Brendon Colbert (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) posted a 9-4 win at 157 pounds. Colbert wasted little time in getting control of the bout scoring a takedown just 15 seconds in to the match.

Brown (3-6) came back with wins at 165 and 174 before the Huskies closed out the afternoon with wins from Kyle Wojtaszek (Brick, NJ/Brick Township) and Dominic Carfagno (West Paterson, NJ/St. Joseph Regional). Wojtaszek got a takedown, reversal, escape and a riding time bonus for his win, while Carfagno had three takedowns, a couple of escapes and a point for riding time to earn his win.

Bloomsburg, 1-12, will be back in action on Friday at Rider in an Eastern Wrestling League match.
