STORYLINE
The seventh-ranked Bloomsburg University field hockey team will be looking to bounce back from a 2-1 loss at West Chester on Saturday when it travels to third-ranked Millersville University on Tuesday afternoon in a pivotal PSAC showdown. The Marauders are coming off of a 1-0 win over Limestone on Saturday. The Huskies, the Marauders, and West Chester are currently among a three-way tie for third place in the PSAC standings with the top six teams reaching the conference playoffs.
ALL-TIME SERIES
Bloomsburg leads the all-time series against Millersville, 43-14-4. The Marauders, however, have won the last seven meetings between the two schools dating back to a 1-0 Huskies' overtime victory at Millersville on September 19, 2012. During the skid, Bloomsburg has managed just one goal and has been outscored, 11-1.
LAST MEETING
The Marauders ended the Huskies' season a year ago with a 1-0 win over Bloomsburg in the PSAC Semifinals hosted by East Stroudsburg last November 6. The lone goal of the contest came on a penalty stroke just 56 seconds in when Margaret Thorwart beat Huskies' goalkeeper
Lindsay Cassel (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin). The Marauders outshot the Huskies, 11-1, and held an advantage in penalty corners, 12-1. Cassel stopped six shots in the loss.
LAST TIME OUT
Bloomsburg saw its modest two-game winning streak come to an end on Saturday afternoon with a 2-1 loss at West Chester. The Golden Rams jumped out to a 2-0 lead with a pair of goals by Rachal Toppi, 64 seconds apart, midway through the first half. The Huskies got on the board just over two minutes later, in the 22nd minute, when senior
Sam Peters (Harrisburg, Pa./Mifflin County) cashed in her eighth goal of the season. However, the Huskies could not get the equalizer and dropped the one-goal decision. West Chester outshot Bloomsburg, 24-7, and held a 15-3 advantage in penalty corners. Senior goalkeeper
Lindsay Cassel (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) stopped a season-high 14 shots in the loss.
Millersville picked up a 1-0 non-conference victory over visiting Limestone on Saturday afternoon. Olivia Hershey scored the Marauders' only goal of the contest with 14:33 left in regulation on an assist from Margaret Thorwart. Millersville held a 22-2 shot advantage which included a 16-0 margin in the first half. Samantha Rumler stopped one shot to pick up the shutout victory.
ABOUT BLOOMSBURG
Bloomsburg is ranked seventh in the latest Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches' Association (NFHCA) coaches' poll with a 10-4 overall mark and 4-2 PSAC record (new poll to be released on Tuesday afternoon). Bloomsburg has outscored its opponents by a margin of 37-9 on the season. The Huskies are tied for third in goals scored in the conference (37) and tied for second in scoring average (2.643). Defensively, Bloomsburg is third in the PSAC in goals allowed (9) and goals allowed per game (0.64). Senior
Sam Peters (Harrisburg, Pa./Mifflin County) has scored four goals in the last five games and has taken over the team lead in scoring with eight goals and two assists for 18 points. She is fifth in the PSAC in goals scored and is tied for fifth in the league in points. Both her eight goals and her 18 points are new career-highs. Freshman
Ali McKay (Dover, Del./Polytech) has cooled after a hot start but is still second on the team with six goals and two assists for 14 points. Sophomore

Lindsay Cassel (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) has played every minute and is 10-4 with a 0.64 goals against average and an .883 save percentage. She is third in the PSAC in goals against average, second in save percentage, second in shutouts (8), and seventh in saves per game (4.86).
ABOUT MILLERSVILLE
Millersville is ranked third according to the latest Penn Monto/NFHCA coaches' poll with an 11-3 overall record and a 4-2 mark against league opponents. The Marauders are outscoring their opponents by a 31-7 margin and have only allowed 66 shots in 14 games this season. Millersville is tied for fifth in the PSAC in scoring offense (2.214) but is second in scoring defense (0.50). Aliza Mizak and Margaret Thorwart pace the Marauders with a dozen points apiece. Mizak leads the team with five goals to go along with two assists while Thorwart has chipped in four goals and a team-high four assists. Kathleen Bishop is also in double figures with four goals and three helpers for 11 points. Samantha Rumler has played all but 54 minutes in goal and is 10-3 with a 0.44 goals against average and an .806 save percentage. She is second in the PSAC in goals against average and third in the league with seven shutouts.
