STORYLINE
The sixth-ranked Bloomsburg University field hockey team will travel to second-ranked East Stroudsburg on Tuesday afternoon. The Huskies are off to an 8-2 start overall (2-0 PSAC) and have won seven of their last eight contests. The Warriors, meanwhile, have won five of their last six and are 8-3 overall (2-1 PSAC) on the season. The teams met back on September 6 at Steph Pettit Stadium with Bloomsburg earning a 3-0 victory over the then top-ranked Warriors.
ALL-TIME SERIES
Bloomsburg owns the all-time series against East Stroudsburg, 47-9-0. The Warriors have won four of the last six meetings between the two schools but the Huskies earned a 3-0, non-conference win over their PSAC rival on September 6.

Bloomsburg scored three second-half goals and blanked then top-ranked East Stroudsburg, 3-0, at Steph Pettit Stadium in a non-conference game on September 6. Senior

Lindsay Cassel (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) stopped six shots to earn the shutout victory. Bloomsburg held a 16-7 advantage in shots and had a slight edge, 9-8, in penalty corners. Danielle Ard stopped seven Bloomsburg shots in the loss.

East Stroudsburg bounced back from a 3-1 loss against West Chester on Wednesday by cruising to a 5-0 win over Mercyhurst on Saturday afternoon in Erie, Pennsylvania. Bailey Quinn scored a pair of goals while Melanie Shambaugh, Desiraye Mack, and Kelly Shapiro also scored for the Warriors. Three East Stroudsburg goalkeepers combined to make one save in the shutout win.
ABOUT BLOOMSBURG
The Huskies, ranked sixth in the latest Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) poll (new poll will be released Tuesday afternoon), have won seven of their last eight games and are 8-2 overall and 2-0 in the PSAC standings. Bloomsburg has outscored its opposition by a 29-5 margin through the first ten games of the season. The Huskies are first in the PSAC in scoring average (2.90) and are second in the conference in scoring defense (0.50). Senior
Sam Peters (Harrisburg, Pa./Mifflin County) leads Bloomsburg with five goals and two assists for 12 points. She ranks tied for seventh in the PSAC in goals (5) and tied for sixth in the league in points (12). Freshman

Abby Sauder (Mount Joy, Pa./Donegal) have also scored four goals apiece on the year with both tied for the team lead with two game-winning goals. Senior

Lindsay Cassel (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) is having a magnificent season in goal as she is 8-2 with a 0.50 goals against average and an .881 save percentage. She is second in the PSAC in save percentage (.881), second in shutouts (6), third in goals against average (0.50), and ninth in saves per game (3.70).
ABOUT EAST STROUDSBURG
The Warriors are ranked second in the latest Penn Monto/NFHCA poll as they enter with an 8-3 overall record and a 2-1 mark against league opponents. East Stroudsburg is ranked fourth in the PSAC in both scoring offense (2.73) and scoring defense (0.91) but it leads the conference in shots per game (20.18) despite only having nine in the loss to the Huskies back on September 6. Robin Stevenson leads the Warriors with eight goals and one assist for 17 points. She is tied for second in the conference in both goals (8) and points (17). Emily Howell has chipped in with five goals and two assists for 12 points while Desiraye Mack has five goals for ten points. Stevenson, Howell, and Bailey Quinn are tied for the team lead with two game-winning goals each. Howell, meanwhile, has taken a team-high 48 shots on the year - second in the PSAC. In goal, Danielle Ard has seen most of the time and is 7-3 with a 1.03 goals against average and an .808 save percentage. Halle Frisco has the other Warrior victory in goal. Ard is fourth in goals against average, fourth in save percentage, tied for fifth in shutouts, and eighth in saves per game.
