HUSKIES NOTES
•Bloomsburg is coming off a 27-10 loss to Northwestern on Nov. 18. The Huskies got wins from
Matt Noble (Bridgewater, NJ/DePaul Catholic (NJ)),
Grant Bond (Carlisle, Pa./Boiling Springs) and
Brendon Colbert (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown).
• The Huskies led in the match 10-9 through the first five bouts, but Northwestern posted wins in the final five matches to pull away for the win.
• Bond and Colbert lead the Huskies in wins with five each.
• Colbert has outscored his opponents 27-5 in his last matches winning both by major decision. For the season he has three wins by major decision and one by technical fall.
• This will be the first-ever meeting between the Huskies and the Spartans.
• Bloomsburg will host George Mason in the EWL opener on Dec. 3 at 2:00 p.m.

SPARTAN NOTES
• Michigan State hosted the MSU Open on Nov. 20 and came away with two event wins.
• The Spartans' event titles came from redshirt junior Javier Gasca at 141 pounds and freshman Drew Hughes at 165 pounds. Sophomore Jacob Cooper was second at 285, while redshirt sophomore Austin Eicher was third at 133. Freshman Jwan Britton at 141 and 157-pounder Austin Thompson picked up a pair of fourth-place finishes, while senior Nick Trimble at 157 and freshman 285-pounder Christian Rebottaro were fifth. Freshman Lucas Hall at 125, Mark Bozzo at 157, freshman Nick May at 184 and redshirt sophomore Matthew Okaiye at 197 rounded out the Spartan medalists all with sixth-place postings.
• The Spartans will be busy today wrestling the Huskies at 12:30 p.m. The team will then jump in their bus and head west on I-80 and will take on Lock Haven at 5 p.m.
• MSU is coming off a season in which it went 2-14 and finished 13th at the Big 10 Championships.
• Roger Chandler, who is in his 20th year on the Spartan wrestling staff, is in his first year as head coach. Chandler officially took over as head coach following the 2015-16 season, as Tom Minkel retired after his 25th season at MSU. Chandler is the ninth coach in the history of the program.
