BLOOMSBURG NOTES:
• The Huskies are 3-5, 0-1 in the Eastern Wrestling League. Bloomsburg is coming off a fourth-place finish at the PSAC Championships last weekend finishing with 74 points and six place winners.

• Bloomsburg, which competed with just seven wrestlers last week due to injury, were led by
Kevin Laubach (Berwick, Pa./Berwick Area) and
Brendon Colbert (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) who each placed third.
Trevor Allard (Mexico, NY/Mexico) was fourth with
Kyle Murphy (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) taking fifth, while
Willy Girard (Williamstown, Pa/Williams Valley) and
Grant Bond (Carlisle, Pa./Boiling Springs) were both sixth.

• Laubach had three, first period pins on the day coming back through the consolation bracket to take third. Colbert had two wins by fall and one by technical fall as he went 3-1 on the day. Bond had the quickest fall of the tournament for Bloomsburg putting away his opponent in just 37 seconds.

• For the tournament, the Huskies had 12 wins come with bonus points.

• Colbert has been tough lately. In his last three wins, not by fall, he has scored 19, 12 and 17 points and allowed just 14 total points.

• After winning 10 straight matches in the series with Lock Haven from 2003-04 to 2013-14, the Huskies have now dropped two straight with its Interstate 80-rivals. A year ago the Bald Eagles won 39-3 at Thomas Field House. Overall, Lock Haven leads the all-time series between the teams, 42-29.

LOCK HAVEN NOTES
• Lock Haven, 2-3, 1-1 in the EWL, is coming off a second-place finish at the 2016 PSAC Championships last weekend. Nine of 10 wrestlers placed and LHU crowned two champions.
• Both Ronnie Perry (141) and Thomas Haines (285) won PSAC titles. Kyle Shoop (149) and Tristan Sponseller (197) were both second at the PSAC Tournament. Overall, a total of nine wrestlers were place winners on the day.
• In last year's win over Bloomsburg, current starters Tyler Wood (184) and Tristan Sponseller (197; 184 last season) both posted victories.
• Both Perry and Haines are nationally ranked this week. Perry is ranked 20th by Intermat, while Haines in ranked 18th.
• Perry is riding a 10-match win streak (he hasn't lost since the Michigan State dual on Nov. 26). Haines is 14-2 on the season and has won seven straight bouts with three pins and four tech falls.
• Lock Haven is 1-1 in the EWL. In a 20-14 loss to Rider, LHU got wins from Ronnie Perry (141), Kyle Shoop (149), Corey Hazel (184) and Thomas Haines (285). A day later the Bald Eagles bounced back, winning seven of 10 bouts, including three major decisions and a tech fall in a 25-19 win over George Mason.
