STORYLINE
The Huskies of Bloomsburg University are seeking a four-game winning streak when they take on Mansfield on Wednesday afternoon at Karl Van Norman Field in Mansfield, Pennsylvania. Bloomsburg (4-1, 0-0 PSAC) looks to build off of two wins from a weekend trip to Louisville, Kentucky, where they defeated Bellarmine University by a score of 2-0 and Queens University of Charlotte with a final tally of 4-0. Mansfield, meanwhile, looks to bounce back from a tough weekend loss to then-#6 Shippensburg University.

Mansfield dropped their last match against then-#6 Shippensburg last Saturday by a score of 5-0. Mansfield was led by Larissa Motts who posted two shots in the losing effort while freshman goalie Brittany Ryan made six saves in her first collegiate appearance.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
Bloomsburg comes into the match riding a three-game winning streak which saw them down top-ranked, and the defending National Champions, East Stroudsburg by a score of 3-0 last Tuesday afternoon. Bloomsburg now stands at 4-1 overall and ranked third in the latest Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) coaches' poll released on Tuesday. The Huskies jumped five spots from their ranking in the preseason poll. The Huskies are led by a strong defense that has only given up just two goals through five games on the year. Senior goalkeeper
Lindsay Cassel (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) has posted three consecutive shutouts and is 4-1 with a 0.40 goals against average and a .923 save percentage - both ranked second in the conference. She is the reigning PSAC Field Hockey Athlete of the Week. Offensively, Bloomsburg is led by senior

Ali McKay (Dover, Del./Polytech) who have each scored three goals and one assist for seven points on the young season. Senior

SCOUTING MANSFIELD
Mansfield enters with a 1-2 overall record in its first three games of the 2016 campaign. The Mountaineers' lone victory came against Southern Connecticut State University on September 4 by a score of 2-1 in OT. After trailing early, Tatum Alberson tied the game up in the 45th minute from a pass from Larissa Motts. Mansfield was able to secure a victory when Katie Lipski converted a penalty stroke in overtime. Alberson, Lipski, and Christie Buyer all have notched goals on the season. The Mountaineers have seen Brittany Ryan and Laura Lawson split time in the cage. Ryan has posted a .750 save percentage while allowing two goals. Lawson, meanwhile, has a .778 save percentage with six goals against.
UP NEXT
The Huskies will play one more game away from home before returning to the friendly confines of Steph Pettit Stadium. Bloomsburg is scheduled to travel to IUP on Saturday, September 17 for a 4:00 p.m. start before coming home to play Slippery Rock on Tuesday, September 20 - also at 4:00 p.m.
